The #1 Billboard song of 1967. Later reworked in a bluesy format by Joe Cocker. Join me for this The Letter guitar lesson and learn the catchy intro riff as well as the chords.

  Am F
Give me a ticket for an  aeroplane,
  G D
Ain't got time to take the  fastest train
  Am F
Lonely days are gone,  I'm a-goin' home,
  E7 Am
My  baby just wrote me a  letter.

I don't care how much money I  gotta spend,
  G D
Got to get back to my  baby again
  Am F
Lonely days are gone,  I'm a-goin' home,
  E7 Am
My  baby just wrote me a  letter.

Chorus
  C G
Well she  wrote me a  letter
  F C G G
Said she  couldn't  live with out me no more.

Hey guy

This website is awesome, thanks for all your work !

However, I think there's a slight mistake in the tab here, 'cause where you play a G, there's a second Am written (that sound bad, by the way :) ) Just saying.

Anyway, good work and please … continue !

Hey Jackson,
Nice of you to take the time to figure these songs out for those of us who don't really have the time but like to play new and different stuff.
Also, I envy your guitar collection…Thanks for the site
