TWILIGHT ZONE – Guitar Lesson

Dutch rock band Golden Earring reached #1 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart with this 1982 classic! Released nine years after Radar Love, Twilight Zone was and is fabulous party tune with a classic opening riff and bass line! Enjoy!

It's 2AM – it's 2 AM
The fear is gone – the fear is gone
I'm sittin' here waiting – I'm sittin' here waiting
The gun's still warm – the gun's still warm
Thinking my connection is tired of taking chances

/ Bm / / Em / / F#m – Bm – /

Yeah, there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head
Wrapped up in silence, all circuits are dead
Cannot decode – my whole life spins into a frenzy

Help, I'm stepping into the Twilight Zone
The place is a mad-house, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go now that I've gone too far
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone

/ Bm – / A – / G – / F# – / : / G Em / Bm – / G Em / Bm Em /

I'm fallin' down a spiral, destination unknown
A double cross messenger, all alone
Can't get no connection, can't get through, where are you

Well the night weighs heavy on his guilty mind
This far from the border line
And when the hitman comes
He knows damn well he has been cheated
And he says

{Refrain twice}

Great job! I'm more of an "oldies" (50's, 60's and 70's) player, but this is one that I will add to my list to mix things up. You have a great teaching style. Just the facts and not a lot of fluff and theory as to why it's done the way it is done. I appreciate your ability to get right to the basics and build up to a finished product.
Have you ever thought of posting a video of the band you play with on your site or on youtube. I would really like to give a listen to how you guys play together.
Thanks again for your work and contributions to helping people become better players.

How do you do this for free? You should be charging something for your work, you have a great teaching website.

I do have a sister site Chris that is a membership program. It offers weekly subscriptions or a lifetime complete access membership. Here’s the link if you are interested.
