About Me
My name is Jackson Mace. I have been involved with music and specifically guitar since 1963. I have been an educator for 32 years and a working musician for 40. I have taught guitar in the classroom and also privately. My instruction has focused on advancing practical rather than theoretical knowledge and making learning fun! I have a "healthy" collection of electric guitars and enjoy working on them, setting them up, modding them, etc. I currently work as a part-time professional musician and actor. After family, my other passion is this website. Hi Jackson
I played bass for a band for periods of time in the 70's and 80's.I had always wanted to pick up the acoustic.But as Lennon said Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans. (Kids Job ) So three years ago I went out and bought a nice Simon&Patrick Songsmith.I'm now able to play well over 60 songs by memory.The dogs don't howl anymore when I play so that must be a good sign.I suffered a heart attack two years ago and I doing well now.So I had no choice but to go on disability (I live in Canada) that gave a lot of spare time to practice and learn scales and chords.My funds are very limited so I'm always on the look out for good free sites.I practice everyday for at least 2 hours (you should see my finger tips).I'm still learning and I really do appreciate your site.Thanks for all your great lessons.I will recommend your site.

Hey Jackson,
I really like this site and your other site songmentor.com . I joined about 3 weeks ago and am really impressed with both sites. If anyone here gets the chance to join Jackson's other site you will be really impressed. The songs you do are spot on. I'm really getting into Layla and Take it Easy. I like the way I can review the lessons as I get them. It is kind of cool that they stay in the lessons folder and I can go back and review the songs whenever I want. I love playing the riffs for Layla which was last weeks lesson for me. Well worth the money and I learn the songs so much quicker than with the tab books.
