When I was growing up I remember Hank Williams' Your Cheatin' Heart as by far the most popular traditional country song among the adults I knew. Later, seeing the biographical film "The Show He Never Gave", certainly added some perspective to this wonderful singer/songwriter's career. But I preferred this song, which I found similar but more melodic. Here's your Cold Cold Heart guitar lesson.

i just discovered it a few days ago. I'm delighted that I found it. I've been plucking around on the guitar for several years but only playing melodies by ear, one not at a time. I'm thankful that I have a musical ear. Before I never knew the names of the notes much less the names of any chords. Someone turned me onto some of the other guitar teaching web-sites & YOUTUBE lessons about 6 or 7 months ago. I like to sing country music. I have been able to get in with a few bands & they would let me come up as a guest singer. However I was dependent on the band providing the backup for my songs. So far I haven't felt confident enough to solo with myself playing the guitar at the same time. I would like to be able to play & sing before a small audience. I think it will come to me in time though & I will be able to sing & play hundreds of songs. I know there are web-sites where a person can find songs that have the chords writen with the lyrics. Just like the song you have writen here with the chords & lyrics printed. My problem now is that I don't know exactly where to make the change. I will try to experiment & try to figure it out. I know the video shows you playing & singing the song. I plan to watch it over & over until I get it the same as your doing it. I think after I've done a few of the other songs I will be able to get better & better.
I think this is a wonderful concept. It's like having the teacher in the same room with you while your learning. The real beauty of it is that you can play the video over & over until you get it.

Cold Cold Heart was the biggest record Hank had during his life because, it crossed over…Your Cheatin' Heart was released after his death. I have a 78rpm of the song (Cold Cold Heart)…and treasure it!! Hank wrote many great songs and truely earned him the nickname…The Shakespear of Country Music! Great selection Jackson, keep up the great work ur doing on here!!!
