G Bm C G Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea C G A7 D D7 And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee, G Bm C G Little jackie paper loved that rascal Puff, C G A7 D G D And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. Oh G Bm C G Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea C G A7 D And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee, G Bm C G Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea C G A7 D G And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee. Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail And Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff’s gigantic tail, Noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came, Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name. oh! Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee, Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee. A dragon lives forever but not so little boys Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys. One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar. His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain, Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane. Without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave, So Puff that mighty dragon, he slipped into his cave. oh! Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee, Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

Just looking for the next song of yours to learn and came across this one, but I'm afraid to tell you that there is a technical problem with the YouTube link. Just to let you know. Love the variety of songs and I'm trying to prioritize.
Hi Jackson,
Your site is excellent. Can you recommend an alternative chord to B minor for Puff the Magic Dragon. Its kind of cumbersome to play.
Thank you
Michael
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you Michael. It’s really hard for me to recommend any other chord other than the B minor. If you take it out it takes a lot of warmth away from the song. You could probably go with G, D, C, G but it’s not at all the same. My best advice would be to learn to play a non-barre version of the B minor if it’s the barre that’s throwing you off.
