Mr Jackson. I'm 65 years old and have stage 4 emphysema. I can't do much any more and I love tyour guitar lessons. Gives me something to do and makes my day a little better. Thanks so much. Ps. send some easy Beatle tunes. Jim Newton. Baltimore Md. usa.
No worries Jim … I’m happy to help with some quality time ….. more Beatles to follow and much more. The lessons take a fair bit of time …… So little of it and so much to do … Ha Ha!
I starting playing a little later in life then normal. So far I love it. I can play the cords , and I can strum. The problem am having is switching and strumming at the same time, without stopping. Any idea's??Thanks so much for all your help your sweet to help us older folks like this. God bless.
Hi Kim! Your brain is doing a good job of framing a picture of how the chord looks and sending that message to your left hand …… this is just a matter of continued practice until that transfer time becomes less and less and your chords changes speed up. Don’t give up … keep going at it!
I have been playing guitar for many years. Giged for 20 years with lots of fusion Miles Santana Etc. I stumbled on your site and realized I really never played many of these early Classic Campfire type songs. I thank you very much and the simplicity in which you teach is great. So goodbye to the Melodic minor and other crazy stuff for awhile and back to the basics . BTW I grew up across the street from the Kalb Brothers and Most of the Blues Project members.
John was not in the Band but Danny started it and Roy the Drummer lived up the street Mt. Vernon NY. Enough for now Bruzzi
Jackson. Love your playing. Do you do Folsum Blues. I love the song and have trouble with the strumming. Please advise and thanks for the great lessions

My name is Jackson Mace. I have been involved with music and specifically guitar since 1963. I have been an educator for 32 years and a working musician for 40. I have taught guitar in the classroom and also privately. My instruction has focused on advancing practical rather than theoretical knowledge and making learning fun! I have a "healthy" collection of electric guitars and enjoy working on them, setting them up, modding them, etc. I currently work as a part-time professional musician and actor. After family, my other passion is this website. I am committed to enhancing the site and making free lessons and info about the guitar available to you .... committed to being your guitar mentor ... committed to being your FREE GUITAR MENTOR!
