Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Guitar But Were Afraid To Ask!
A HORSE WITH NO NAME – Guitar Lesson
Traces of Neil Young! Four simple but effective chords and you won't need to move your hand. But if everyone doesn't sing along, I'll be shocked . La la ….. la la la la la la ….. la la la! Proving once again that less is often more …. here's your A Horse With No Name guitar lesson!
Hi Jackson, I am in Australia and love your site. I have learned quite a few songs from you now and am enjoying it immensely. Thanks keep up the great work.
Hi Jackson,
A big THX for this great song! You explain it very good. It's great fun to play. I enjoy your website and always look forward to the next lesson. Keep up the great work and…….keep on rocking man!!
Greetings from Belgium
Wow, thankyou, horse with no name couple of hours and am already starting to get the feel of it. Wish you were doing this when I was a young pup, fantastic and keep up the great work. For years I have been playing little bits of this and that but tonight for the first time am able to play a whole song and sing the words as well even if not very well still a great feeling.
10/10 Thankyou
Excellent rendition. I learned this song "back in the day" but in Am & F#m. The La LA part had and Am, Em, Dmaj then back to Am.
I'v been playing guitar since I can remember but I quit for a long long time and now, at 61 years old, getting back into it. Being a child of the 60's your lessons are right up my alley. I use to play most of the songs you get into but over the years I've lost a lot of the timing and cords. They way you do your lessons gives me the opportunity to play along and that really helps with the timing not to mention cord recollection. Thanks for your hard work. It really is helping me out!
Thank you Jackson for your easy learning/rebuilding lessons. I am 50 now stopped playing guitar years ago to focus on raising my family. Had a heart problem last year decided to get back into guitar, Never put off the things you love in life. You make it so easy to remember how and learn songs i always wanted to learn. Best way to put it is: I just love it. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Great lesson! Looking forward to more. On this one, how are you doing the "slap"? Are you just wacking the strings with the edge of your palm? Or picking and quickly muting?
Dear Jackson,
I have been playing songs for quite sometime now, but I have always seemed to have problems with my correct strumming patterns, I keep good rhythm, but have issues determining the correct patterns to you. You have vastly helped me with this, and I am learning new songs very quickly now, I have quite a number of open and barre chords under my belt and new chords seem to come easy to me.
I have been quiet until now but, I thought you should know how you have affected my guitar knowledge. I am no longer stuck in rut any more, and the new songs are coming quickly which is bringing back the excitement again.
Lastly, how did you accomplish finding the correct patterns, by ear? Sorry about such a long email but I just wanted to tell you The "Thrill is Back" for me, and I so appreciate it. I truly do!
