THINGS WE SAID TODAY – Guitar Lesson

In the UK, Things We Said Today was recorded as the "B" side of the single "A Hard Days Night". It was written by Paul aboard a yacht while vacationing/adventuring with his then-girlfriend Jane Asher.  Lots of chords in this one but a wonderfully sombre feel within a marvelous tune. Here's your Things We Said Today guitar lesson!

Am        Em         Am  Em     Am       Em      Am
1. You  say  you will  love me,    if   I   have to go.
2. You  say  you'll be mine girl, 'till the end of time.
 3. 'nough to make you  mine girl,  be  the  only    one.

Am         Em      Am  Em     Am      Em       Am
You'll be  thinking of  me,   somehow  I  will know.
2. These days such a  kind girl, seems so hard to find.
3. Love  me   all the time girl, we'll go on  and  on.

 C         C#9/C9        F                     Bb
1. Someday when  I'm  lonely,  wishing you weren't so far away.
2. Someday when we're dreaming, deep in love, not  a  lot to say.
3. Someday when we're dreaming, deep in love, not  a  lot to say.

Am      Em     Am  Em    Am       Em     Am
1. Then I  will re-mem-ber things we said today.
2. Then we will re-mem-ber things we said today.
3. Then we will re-mem-ber things we said today.

     A                D7           B7              E7                A
2,3. Me I'm just the lucky kind, love to hear you say that love is love,

                    D7             B7             Bb
2,3. And though we may be blind, love is here to stay and that's e–

(Repeat 3rd verse)

Great! thanks a lot for another great tutorial, it´s never too late to learn something new and to play the songs as they should.
As years go by I find myself more and more attracted towards the A hard days´night album´s B side, there is an aura of strong acoustic base supporting those songs, and are very strong, all of them, certainly no fillers here. By the way, I´ve noticed you have quite a collection of gorgeous looking guitars, could you dedicate a few seconds to them when you do your videos?, you know, some eye candy plus the settings (pick up, tone, etc)  you are using, all guitar players are a bit of gear heads too. Regards.

Thanks Carlos …. I’ll keep that in mind and try to spend a moment on the guitars. I agree with the Hard Days Night comment!

Hello Jackson
Just thought I'd write a few lines to let you know how much I appreciate your instruction.
Before I had heard about your site, I had already payed in advance for instruction from 2 other online guitar tuition sites.
Dont get me wrong both guys are great fellas, but! I always return to Free guitar mentor to get the job done right.
You do'nt mess around, you teach it as it should be taught, just like the original recordings or as near as dammit..I wish I could join your Pay site but as I said I am still tied in to the others for the moment.
So buddy keep up the good work.
Best Regards
Neil
